“No child should die in the dawn of life.” Danny Thomas, St. Jude Founder

CrossFit for Hope at CFA is shaping up to be a nice event. Last year, you raised over $10,000 for charities through events hosted by CFA! This year we look forward to keeping that momentum going . Join CFA on June 9  as we host CrossFit for Hope, a worldwide fund raiser benefiting St. Jude Children’s Hospital. CF gyms around the globe will complete the “Hope” WOD on that Saturday. The goal is to raise 1.7MM – one day’s operating cost for St. Jude – to combat childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. Register to participate here. The WOD will run in heats starting at 8am. Join in on the workout or come to cheer others on.

I was not going to post this article as it starts off rather blunt and “in your face” and could possibly be offensive. However, this evening as I paid $120 for some real food that will last me about 3 days (ground turkey, sweet potatoes, oranges, eggs, etc.) and then watched the lady behind me pay about $40 for literally a shopping cart full of chocolate Popsicles (the ingredients are subsided by the government hence the low cost), I decided I must do my small part in raising awareness of the causes of the health epidemic. So with the fear of coming across as cynical, a little extreme or invoking scare tactics, here you go – America: A Big, Fat, Stupid Nation.
