5 Reasons to Row!

Awesome Total Body Workout. You’re working 9 major muscles groups: quads, hamstrings, glutes, lats, core, shoulder, triceps, back, biceps.  Posture is a huge benefit from rowing.  And then obviously you’re jump starting your cardio system too.

Low Impact: The reason why rowing is good for rehab is because, especially for runners,  it’s a much lower impact alternative.

Community:  Whether you’ve already benefited from the Community that is CrossFit or have never done CrossFit, our rowing program offers the same motivational aspects.  We know that some folks are reluctant to start CrossFit classes for various reasons. Our row program is a great way to get to know and be part of our community. By the time you jump over to our other classes we’ll already you and you’ll be fitter because of your rowing!

Team Work: Similar to rowing on open water, row classes are often done in unison. Improved teamwork and team skills benefit you in all aspects of life.

Easy to Learn: With the help of our certified Concept 2 Instructors you will be rowing like an expert in no time!

How do I Participate?

You have two options to join CFA Row in 2013.

Group Row Class. Currently we offer one class each Wednesday at 6pm. These classes are free to our members and available to non-members for $10 per class. Seats are limited so be sure to sign up prior to attending class. CFA members sign up by clicking here. Non-members click here. As the demand increases more classes will be added.

CFA Row Club 2013. The next step after group classes is to join our more advanced session via our CFA Row Club. Many of you and those that have been attending the row classes are at the level to join the Club.

Row Club meets each Monday. Two group sessions are held to complete the Row Club Monday workout @ 6pm and 6:30pm. Row Club members only attend one. A 6 month Row Club membership is $100 for CFA members and $150 non-members. CFA members sign up here and non-members click here

Row Club members will also be programmed one additional workout to complete on their own each week. Email jeff@alexandriacrossfit.com to get started with the Club.
