High School Athlete Camp Starting March 18 (Including a Female Only Camp!) by William Albritton

CrossFit for High School Athletes is a strength and conditioning program designed for players in sports which require power, speed and endurance. To excel in football, soccer, baseball, basketball, track, swimming, cross country or tennis, an athlete must be powerful and fast and have the ability to maintain peak performance until the final buzzer.

The Lady’s Camp: We are super excited to also have a  female only camp! There will be two separate camps – male and female. Females need the same fitness components as males – strength, speed, agility, coordination and flexibility. The female camp will allow girls to develop in these areas without being intimidated and overwhelmed by working out with a group of guys. The camps will be overseen by experienced strength and conditioning coaches with expertise in coaching teenage athletes. The female camp will be instructed by Connie McBride.

Schedule: The guys camp will meet every Monday and Wednesday and Friday from 3:30 – 5:00pm at CrossFit Alexandria. The lady’s camp will meet every Tuesday and Thursday and Friday from 3:30 – 5:00pm.

Price: The cost of the camp is $150/month.

A Year-Round Program: Each athlete will have a strength and conditioning program designed to bring them through the end of their high school career. This is not a one time camp but a year-round conditioning program.  We will work with each athlete in regards to in-season and off-season training.

Summer Camp: The after-school camp will transition during the summer to a program with higher training volume and intensity; therefore, the camp during the summer will have a revised schedule, additional days and a different price structure (more details to come soon).

More on the High School Athlete Program: The program incorporates functional movements performed at high intensity to simulate the demands placed on the athlete during game situations. By combining high intensity movements with a comprehensive strength and speed program, the result is a training program that is unparalleled in the industry. Every athlete needs to be strong in mind, heart and body. He needs to be fast and explosive. He needs to be able to perform when tired and exhausted. This applies to NFL players the same as it applies to high school athletes.

These amateur leveled high school athletes last in the initial training phase for about 1 year. The exciting part of being an amateur is the ability to make strength gains every workout. These amateur athletes can make the type of gains many of us training for years would dream of. Dont waste the opportunity to get stronger and increase performance with every workout by not taking advantage of training this camp. There is no time in an athlete’s life more important than these first years of training. They lay the groundwork for the rest of a career. Proper training and nutrition are the cornerstones of this program. Take full advantage of these opportunites!
