The Fort Polk community received some great new recently – the Defense Department will not be closing any bases anytime soon! While there is no news that could come close to topping that, we do have something else that could be the 2nd best news for Vernon Parish and Fort Polk…you will soon be getting a CrossFit Box!
It seems that more and more troops are discovering the benefits of preparing for duty with CrossFit. It prepares them for the unknown and unknowable which most face on a constant basis. We are excited to be able to assist Fort Polk in preparing troops for deployment! Not only does CrossFit prepare troops for their rigorous work, but it also prepares the civilian to lead a strong, healthy life. We expect to see soldiers, businesspeople, mothers, fathers, grand parents and athletes all training at the new Box.

CrossFit what? Oh yeah, we need to name the new Fort Polk – Leesville location. We are going to leave that up to the CrossFit community in Vernon Parish. We need you to come up with a name. We are asking you to submit your best names for the new box. If we choose one of your names, you will receive one free month of CF. The name can not be the same as any other CF gym. We will be off post on Hwy 171. Construction has started and we are excited to be moving forward again!
