Crawfish, Live Music and Open Workout 13.5 by William Albritton
There is lots to celebrate and be thankful for this Spring season! What accomplishments are you celebrating this time of year? One thing CrossFitters all have in common is that you all work extremely hard not just at fitness but everything else in your life including family and careers. We seldom take time for ourselves to celebrate. I also know that CrossFitters hate hearing the words “rest day” or “take some time off” – well, depending on the day, you either love or hate those words. Anyway, it’s time for a night of fun followed by a few rest days!
On April 6th, plan to be at CrossFit Alexandria. The day will start off at 10am with several CF gyms from around the state and top regional competitors meeting at CFA to compete in the Open Workout 13.5. Last year, we hosted 8 gyms and 15+ athletes that made it to the South Central Regionals. It will be an awesome environment for you to complete the final Open Workout of the season! (If athletes from your gym plan to do 13.5 at CFA, please send an email to william@alexandriacrossfit.com). If you’re not competing, still come out to cheer everyone on.
After 13.5, stick around for some events for your kids then crawfish and music. Eddie’s BBQ will be supplying the food. Jumpers for the kids will be set up starting at 3pm. Crawfish will be ready around 6pm. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be available for the kids. Music will start a little later. Bring the kids during the day to play and eat and schedule the baby sitter for the evening. Please feel free to bring your family and friends. Those of you that follow our programming at other locations, we would love for you to join us! Everyone
To help cover the cost of all-you-can-eat crawfish and live music, it will be $20 per adult. Please register here by March 29. (If you are not staying around for the festivities after 13.5, you do not need to register.)
